From Monday, September 1, the full
CEEFAX Magazine of news and information
will be transmitted on BBC-2 as well as
on BBC-1, using a slightly different
technical standard.
The common standard
agreed between BREMA, the BBC and the
IBA in May 1944 has been modified in
order to:
Provide a few alternatives to the
original range of characters
Make the allocation of control
characters more compatible with
other "teletext" systems.
